Lin Ong - Secretary
Lin grew up in Singapore and moved to New York to study at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. Her design career began in New York City working for a startup agency that flourished supporting the growing internet. She now lives in San Francisco with her husband and two children, and continues to work in product and UX/UI design.
Lin was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014 at the same time as her young twin children started kindergarten. After navigating the challenges of chemo, radiation, surgeries and ongoing drug treatments, she has committed to pushing for research to advance understanding of the causes of breast cancer with the goal of finding methods to reduce occurrence, and is particularly interested in how a woman’s environment contributes to breast cancer occurrence and risk. With the minimal free time between work, family and BCOT, she enjoys the natural beauty offered by the Bay Area, exploring the cuisine and investing in her own health.
